• TYPE LOCALITY. "Chitral, Utzun Valley" [N. Pakistan].
• RANGE. Mountains of W. Central Asia from Ghissar to Chitral and N. Baluchistan.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Ghissar and Darvaz; records from the W. Pamirs need confirmation.
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Dry mountains up to 3,000 m a.s.l. Flight period: May-September, suggesting two generations.
• SIMILAR SPECIES. E. marloyi: generally larger, UPS pattern contrasting, genitalia different (Fig. ).
