• TYPE LOCALITY. "Ladak" [Ladakh, India].
• RANGE. The Pamirs-Alai, Hindu Kush, Karakorum, the Himalaya.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The nominate subspecies (= roborowskii Alpheraky, 1887) occurs in the Pamirs and N. Tian-Shan.
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. A characteristic high-montane species inhabiting xerophytic slopes with poor vegetation at 3,000-4,300 m a.s.1. Flight period: end of July to August.
